As you know from the "Name Game" I am Larissa Gonzalez. This will be my 3rd summer doing this program. But, I still have alot to learn. In this course I expect to acheive a better voice, a better stage presence, and new skills that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
The audition for Mulan Jr. made me extremely nervous. And at first I was not happy with my part, but after I re-read the script for my part, I realized that it was a good role. It was something I have never done before and I am looking forward to this new experience.
Mulan Jr. would be my 6th time performing on stage, my 5th show, and my 4th play, but I already feel like the stage is my haven. I just hope that everyone in this program will fall in love with theatre like I have. And I hope that everyone, including, me gains so much from this experience.

ReplyDeleteLarissa,
ReplyDeleteSo, I've been a lot from Miss Tracy about how much you rock as a vocalist. I understand you are really taking to singing the harmony, which is awesome. Every time I work with you, I see you grow by leaps and bounds. I am not saying that because I want the credit. It is the exact opposite. You are this little diamond in the rough....you have all of this hidden talent that are slowly discovering. I hope you are taking chorus at school, if not, you should be!

Wow. 6 times... that's awesome. I don't see how anyone can't fall in love with theatre. You set some really good goals, too.
ReplyDeleteI think it's neat how you've been going to the theatre or the past 3 summers, and you don't act like you run the place. You know you have things you can get better at, and there are still things to learn. I like that you are so humble about it.
ReplyDeleteWow, I had not idea that you have had so much experience on the stage. Keep on going. I hope stage continues to be your haven through out life.
